Selecting the Right Teacher

There are various kinds of teachers who apply for a job. The mix may be as follows.

Good communication skill good knowledge, my guess 5% of applicants. CAT - I

Average skills average Comm skills. 50% of applicants CAT - II

Good comm skills poor knowledge  10 % of applicants CAT -III

Good communication skills average knowledge.  20 % of applicants CAT- IV

Poor skills poor knowledge. CAT -V

Category I, II and IV are employable. Category I is good but dearth of perfection on Earth.

Category II abundantly available, knowledge and comm skills can be provided through in house or external training.

Category IV will improve over time without ant training and development intervention.
So a cost saver.

Category II and V should not be employed lest they eat away your brand, goodwill and revenues and infest organization with politics and survival tactics instead of performance and merit orientation.

Other soft factor for right person for the national building strategic job would be passion for job and  the right service attitude necessary in education field.

The strategy used to attract the right people to recruitment can be by good emoluments comparable to industry jobs and continuous T and D initiatives.
